Description
This adapter and radio kit makes makes installing a touch screen headunit in '95-'98 OBS Chevy and '99-'02 GMT800 trucks a breeze. Our bracket clips into the factory dash bracket to mount a the 1.5 DIN radio in the original location - without modification. You still get to use the factory bezel, meaning no need for aftermarket bezels which need paint work and time to get fitting right. A multi-part design, this kit comes with all the hardware needed to install your new radio in minutes, not hours. Add modern functionality to your Tahoe, Silverado, Suburban or other Chevy/GMC full-size truck! Also fits Astro/Safari trucks of the same year!
Kit comes bundled with radio and Metra (PN 70-1858) wiring harness to make your install as easy as possible!
Note: Trucks with the Bose system or Luxury package may require a different adapter harness. This harness would be Metra PN 70-2003. At this time we do not stock this harness, so it would be up to you, the customer, to source this part. Please check your truck's RPO codes (UQ7 or Y91, if they have either of these, you will need PN 70-2003) and wiring connector prior to purchasing.
